The process of hand-finishing involves first sanding and priming the surface of a part to prepare it for painting. This process can
eliminate the build lines visible on some types of 3D Printed parts, and produces a smooth uniform texture on which to apply further finishing.
Once prepped for painting, items are either airbrushed (for monochrome or limited-tone applications), or master-detail hand-painted for fine multicolor detail. Customers can supply color swatches or Pantone codes for precise color-matching, and matte or gloss coats can be applied for uniform flat or glossy finishes.
